Mission impossible a technician and and Engineer get a hairy guy showered  ...........

without getting the cast wet!  Dont worry Ill keep it clean.

Light the fuse cue the Misssion impossible music  (the original not the one with that wimpy Tom Cruise)  its all about the team work.

While I am technically an engineer I was a way better tech than engineer and still think of myself as a tech.

Materials
Gorilla tape (hey I am pretty hairy)
Trash bag
Ace bandage
Detachable shower head
Clean bathtub
Understanding of fluid dynamics
about 20 min of time.

Put the bag over the cast using Gorilla tape to  secure a band all the way around the bag and leg (with the leg in the air so blood does not pool in the foot, causing swealling).  Apply ace bandage (foot still up, easier if you lie on your back and partner puts bandage on) a couple of wraps on bare leg the rest on bag forming water tight seal.  Not to tight but snug.  Ace bandage is somewhat absorbent.

Sit in tub with cast hanging out of tub Important that knee is higher than thigh (knowledge of fluid dynamics, water flows downhill in a 1 g field)  also ace bandage absorbs water that might sneak in.

Using various contortions and a good friend (really good friend) apply water.  Use soap (liquid soap works great)  rinse and repeat as necessary.

Dry thigh and upper body as much as possible before getting cast lower than the rest of the body (fluid dynamics)  Dry off and get dressed.

Cool beans nice being clean again!  time for sleep.
